As of this past Saturday (2008-05-24), I now have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from SJSU. Pictures are here for the graduation ceremony and here for the CS award.

Computer Science Students Win Awards
(Posted on 23 May 2008)
Some of our best majors have won a number of awards recently:
- William "B.J." Black has won the Department's Outstanding Senior Award. He will be honored at the Departmental Convocation.
- The Department awarded four scholarships this year instead of the customary two, since there were so many deserving students. Primary scholarship winners ($600) are Nataliya Makarytska and Jyotsna Krishnaswamy. Runner-up scholarship winners ($400) are Sadiya Hameed and Rupali Khabiya.
- An awards luncheon was held in the Department on May 14. In the picture, from left to right are: Professor Robert Chun, chair of the Scholarship Committee of the Department, Natalia Makarytska, Rupali Khabiya, B.J. Black, Sadiya Hameed, and Jyotsna Krishnaswamy.
- Thomas Austin, an MSCS student of Dr. Cay Horstmann, placed at the top of the SJSU Student Research Forum for his thesis "Expanding Javascript's Metaobject Protocol," and together with four other SJSU students, represented SJSU at the CSU-wide Student Research Forum at CSU East Bay on May 2.
Congratulations to all of these students!
